Our History
Municipal Bond Information Services was founded as a consortium of eleven municipal security trading firms who assembled to aggregate their market data. The consortium’s goal was to promote improved municipal market price transparency and enhance monitoring and pricing practices.
In 2022, MBIS became an independent entity with headquarters in Aurora, IL. Since then, we have continued to refine MBIS products to provide our clients with industry-leading market data and peer security comparisons.
